Camilla David’s passion for flowers and all things botanical, combined with her fondness for antique and modern textiles, inspired her to launch Camilla David Textiles. Her background in art history and theater gives her the dramatic flair that distinguishes her imaginative and sophisticated designs.

David developed her fascination with flowers as a child, growing up in a house of ever-changing floral arrangements of exquisite roses, tulips, peonies and zinnias. After college and receiving her MFA in Drama from Catholic University, David directed her own theater company for many years before pursuing a career in interior design. It was then that she began drawing flowers and decided to transition into designing and producing her own fabrics.

Today, she is the creative director and president of Camilla David Textiles, a growing design company in the metropolitan Washington, DC area that, in a short time, has produced the Belle Fleur and CDT Coordinates collections with a third, Belle Fleur 2, to be launched later this fall.

David is an active member of two Washington, DC area garden clubs and enhances her home with her own bouquets.
