On October 15, at Fall Market 2008, John Rosselli & Associates introduced Camilla David Textiles’ Belle Fleur Collection at the D&D Building in New York City. Described as “a unique and beautifully colored collection of embroidered linens and cottons,” the addition of the Camilla David fabric line serves to broaden the fabric collection of exceptional artists represented by John Rosselli and Associates.

“We have the most marvelous artisanal textiles in all our showrooms,” notes John Rosselli. “They typify my own tastes and style, and they’re a perfect complement to all the splendid furnishings and lighting we offer. Our fabric partners have been chosen for their strong aesthetics; each atelier is run by an individual with tremendous taste, sensibilities and style.”

Camilla David is especially proud to have designed a signature scarf for the Washington Ballet since this is the school where she herself studied dance at an early age.  This scarf was the inspiration for the opening segment of the Ballet’s Women’s Committee fall fashion show/fundraiser at Bloomingdale’s on October 16th, 2008.  As ten young aspiring ballerinas danced to upbeat music, they showcased the scarf in a choreographed segment full of dash and spirit.

The Washington Ballet scarf is a 36” square design on 100% silk.  This original drawing combines large, brightly colored flowers in outline, and when looked at from an aerial perspective, some flowers turn into dancing ballerinas with flouncing tutus.

The scarf may be purchased from the Washington Ballet with funds going directly to the organization.
